Attorney Pat Hughes dreamed of practicing law and following in the footsteps of his father, Col. Paul W. Hughes. Colonel Hughes served with distinction as an attorney in the U.S. Army JAG Corps in the Dachau War Crimes Trials in Germany following WWII. Col. Hughes also served in Korea and Army posts throughout the United States.
Pat Hughes graduated with honors from Anniston High School and attended college at the University of Alabama. He was an officer of his fraternity and was selected as a Phi Alpha Theta History Honorary Fraternity member. Upon graduation in 1975, he was admitted to the University of Alabama School of Law, where he received his law degree in 1978. Pat Hughes was selected to be a student advisor by the University of Alabama during his last year of law school.
